Your trip starts upon arrival at Nairobi Airport. After customs & immigration, your driver guide will be ready to welcome you, after which you will drive to Nakuru booked at Mbweha Camp. Arrive in good time for lunch and check in. Take a midday rest, enjoy afternoon tea and thereafter venture into the park for a scheduled evening game viewing drive which reveals plenty of plains game such as eland, warthogs, zebras, grants, gazelle, water-bucks, impala and with luck you might see leopard and hyena. The camp renders one of the fascinating experiences with its natural sanctuary of fauna and flora and great variety of wildlife. Return to camp at dusk for hot showers, then an aperitif by the fireside with your hosts and other guests before settling down for dinner.

After breakfast you will set out for a full day into Lake Nakuru National. Once in the National Park, you will enjoy game driving around the lake shores in search of rhino or the elusive Leopard. In the recent past, the alkaline waters of the lake was the home to flocks of flamingo but today the water level has risen, making the food source of the lake less attractive. None the less you will still find limited numbers of flamingo and pelican roaming around the lake shores. Experience lunch picnic al fresco from one of the beautiful view points before you head back to camp for sundowners by the fire place. Finish the day with sumptuous dinner and overnight at camp.

The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.
Enjoy an early cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate followed by a morning game drive (time permitting). Later return back to the camp for breakfast then check out with packed lunches for Masai Mara. Upon arrival at camp, you shall be warmly welcomed by the camp managers who will brief you about the camp. Freshen up and settle in your rooms for a siesta. After afternoon tea you will depart to game drive, returning to the camp in time to freshen up and for dinner.

You will be rising early with tea or coffee brought to your tent then set off as the sun rises for a wilderness awakening game drive. The verdant plains host a fabulous array of plains game such as gazelles, impala, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and eland. Never far away are the predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena which our guides are finely tuned to finding. Enjoy a picnic breakfast in the most magnificent outdoor setting on the plains before winding your way back to camp. After a leisurely al-fresco lunch back at camp, relax, read, watch the resident birdlife or enjoy a siesta in your tent. Afternoon tea will be followed by game driving in another area of the conservancy where you may see jackals roaming, warthog bathing or impala jousting. Sundowner drinks are served in a picturesque spot as you watch the sun sink below the horizon. Returning to camp to exchange stories around the campfire with the other guests before your mouth watering three course evening meal
In one of the days, you may also wish to visit a traditional Maasai manyatta (village) (Extra cost).
