Wildlife Tours Aberdares, Samburu & Nanyuki Safari

Upon arrival at JKIA, you will be met by one of our representatives who will be your driver guide during your safari. You will drive North from Nairobi to The Aberdares County Club passing through Nyeri town where Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts movement spent the last years of his life and is buried. After lunch and high tea at the Aberdares Country Club, set off for the Ark tree lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet. This outstanding lodge offers high altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: giant forest hog, bush pig, tree hyrax, large spotted genet, and the elusive bongo. Tonight you will be able to watch game from your hotel balcony, which overlooks a floodlit waterhole.

Dinner & overnight at The Ark

After breakfast, drive by road to Kenya's northern frontier to the wild & rugged, Samburu National Reserve. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the camp hosts who will brief you about the Lodge & later settle in after having some lunch. Relax in your tent or plunge pool as you watch wildlife in their natural habitat. After afternoon tea, embark for an afternoon game drive which introduces you to this beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe.

Lunch, dinner & overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp

This day will be spent exploring this amazing reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. You can also opt to visit the cultural visits within the area. Samburu game reserve offers a wide range of attractions. It is home to the Samburu tribe who are aklso pastrorists. Ewaso Nyiro river which runs along the Southern boundary is home to crocodiles and hippos with the many animals visiting to dink during the heat of the day. In sumburu you are likely to see a number of wildlife species like buffalo, leopards, lions, cheetahs, the Samburu special five and other plains games. here are over 450 species of birds identified and aquatic species in the Waso Nyiro River including, vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others.

Lunch, dinner & overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp

Today you will continue with your safari to the foothills of Mt. Kenya. On arrival at Ol pejeta Ranch you will be served with lunch at Swetwaters Tented Camp. Sweetwaters is a luxury tented camp set at the center of Ol pejeta private ranch and has one of the finest Luxury Tents and other modern facilities. The reserve area is 24,000 acres which is a private ranch. Among many advantages of visiting this private are, guest can enjoy special activities not permitted in other Kenyan National Parks and Reserves like escorted game walks, night game drives, horse riding etc. In reserve you have an opportunity to see herd of elephants, cheetah, lion, jackal, buffalo, eland, Oryx amongst others.

Lunch, dinner & overnight at Serena Sweet Waters

Today you explore exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary on two extensive game drives or three game drives including a night game drive. The camp also overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area and offers elephant, lions & myriad plains game. You may opt to start with morning walk followed by bush breakfast, lunch at the camp and afternoon game drive. Game drives at Sweetwaters are indeed a pleasure. Game viewing may also take the form of game walks accompanied by a Resident Naturalist and game rides on horseback. Camel riding, night game drives and "bush" lunches or dinners are a delight. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and is the only place in Kenya where this highly endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be seen.

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the conservancy. This will be followed by breakfast at camp, check out then depart and drive to Nairobi followed by a transfer to JKIA for your international flight out or to your Nairobi hotel
